The wizards behind the upcoming survival horror Darkwood is halfway through their indiegogo campaign and have just reached 50% of their target. That’s good news, but they still need the half to get Darkwood made. Darkwood is a top-down, oldschool, sandbox survival horror set in a procedurally generated, open world. It features RPG and roguelike elements, with intense combat and a eerie atmosphere. Gameplay wise, it has features in common with games like Project Zomboid, Don’t Starve and Teleglitch. Acid Wizard Studios sum up why they’ve gone with indiegogo below:
We need additional funds to make Darkwood a reality and focus 100% of our time on it. To accomplish this, we set up a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, where you can pre-order the game at a special price of 10$ or get some awesome stuff, at the same time supporting Darkwood’s development! These goodies include: a t-shirt, strategy guide, exlusive posters, boxed edition of Darkwood, your name or even a character of your own design in the game! We also made a pretty crazy pitch video, where you get to meet the whole team responsible for Darkwood!
